LOS ANGELES (April 26, 2007) – From a red-carpet overflowing with celebrities to the nostalgic video games, rubik's cubes and slap bracelets on hand, to dueling 80s djs and breakdancing crews, the KICKIN’ IT OLD SKOOL Premiere was the hottest ticket in town for anyone looking to re-live the glory days of the famous decade of neon.

On Wednesday, April 25th, the Yari Film Group hosted an unparalleled "ultimate 80s" experience at the world famous Henry Fonda Music Box Theater in Hollywood, produced by Kevin Seldon of Keldof.

With the help of partners like Bartles & Jaymes, Budweiser, RedBull, DDRGame.com, Official Game Haven entertainment units, Dance Heads, scrunchies by Goody, shoulderpads.com, Hasbro’s Rubik’s Cube, Topps’ Ring Pops and Garbage Pail Kids, the party was a perfect celebration for the film’s cast and other guests, attendants included Emmanuel "webster" Lewis, Maria Menounos, Michael Rosenbaum, Jamie Kennedy, Bobby Lee, Jesse “Casper” Lee Brown and the B-Boy Unit 9 World Champions: The Boogie Brats, Debra Jo Rupp, Christopher McDonald, Bob Saget, Pauly Shore, Anna Faris, Jason Biggs, Tom Arnold, Kathy Griffin, Traxx Neutron, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, Young Dre, Jonathan Lipnicki, Rowdy Roddy Piper and Deborah Gibson (pictured upper left).

DJs StoneRokk and Graham Funke served as the dueling DJs for the night, providing a selection of classic tunes that kept the dance floor packed with a crowd decked out in its finest ‘80s fashions. Also contributing to the sense of nostalgia was Tyson Mao, the Rubik’s Cube champion who demonstrated his astonishing ability to instantly solve the Reagan-era puzzle; as well as a customized Garbage Pail Kid (pictured lower left), created specifically for the film as an alternative one-sheet based on the breakdancing lead character from the movie.

"Most premiere parties are a little staid and consist of people mingling around, sampling an hors d'oeuvre or two,” said star of the film, Jamie Kennedy. “We decided that a movie like KICKIN’ IT OLD SKOOL needed a party that was all about having fun and celebrating the ‘80s, and this was a night that definitely did that.”

KICKIN’ IT OLD SKOOL brings us back to the '80s when, with his parachute pants, shaggy hair and killer moves, 12-year-old Justin "Rocket Shoe" Schumaker hopes to break dance his way into his perfect girl's heart. But when a killer head spin with an impossible back flip sends him flying off stage, he winds up in a 20-year coma. Reawakening a man of today with a heart and mind stuck in the'80s, Justin (Jamie Kennedy) is in a high-tech time warp. Determined to prove that he can KICK IT OLD SKOOL and reign again, Justin reassembles his dance posse, The Funky Fresh Boys, to compete in a big money dance contest that could save the day…and might even help him win the girl of his dreams.

KICKIN' IT OLD SKOOL is a hilarious look at the decade everyone loves but can't escape. The movie also stars Miguel A. Nunez, Jr., Maria Menounos, Michael Rosenbaum, Bobby Lee, Aris Alvarado, Debra Jo Rupp, Christopher McDonald and Vivica A. Fox. The film features cameos by such ‘80s icons as David Hasselhoff, Emmanuel Lewis, Erik Estrada, John Ratzenberger and Rowdy Roddy Piper. Yari Film Group Releasing releases KICKIN’ IT OLD SKOOL in theaters nationwide on April 27, 2007.
