Los Angeles (May
5, 2009) - This year American Idol fans have the opportunity to not
only attend the finale of their favorite show, but also get involved
with the causes they feel most passionate about through the new social
action network, Causecast.
Last year, “American
Idol” judge Randy Jackson auctioned
off four tickets to the show’s Season 8 finale
to benefit Save
the Children, the leading nonprofit providing health
care and education to impoverished children around the world. Causecast
CEO Ryan Scott narrowly edged out songwriter Carole Bayer
Sager with a $21,000 bid and donation to Save The Children, a Causecast
featured organization, winning the tickets to this once-in-a-lifetime
experience. Now Causecast is giving away the tickets ...to two lucky
winners and their guests.
Contestants can
enter by visiting http://Idol.Causecast.org.
Two lucky winners, drawn at random, will each receive two tickets
to the finale on May 21. The deadline for contest entry is May 12
at 11:59 p.m. PST. The winners will be announced on May 13.
Want to increase
the chance of winning? “Causecast is all about changing the
world – but we know we can’t do it alone,” says
Scott. “So for
every friend you invite that registers for the giveaway and activates
an account, you’ll be given another chance to win, increasing
your odds with each friend!”
Those who enter
the giveaway and join the Causecast community will receive cause-based
videos and news, have access to future contests and events, as well
as be connected with a multitude of high profile leaders and nonprofits
helping to fulfill their missions and achieve their goals in the U.S.
and worldwide.
